In today’s challenging world, there’s a growing need for highly skilled leaders who can navigate through complex situations and empower their teams to succeed. This program is designed for young leaders and managers of NGOs at all levels who want to further develop their skills to overcome challenges and become a driving force for change in their communities. The content would support youth workers looking to improve their leadership skills, discover or refine their leadership purpose, and make an impact within their organization and community. It would also be helpful for those youngsters who are preparing to move into a leading role, as well as aspiring leaders who want to gain the confidence to step up.
Over 10 days we are going to explore core leadership themes: Definition, skills and traits needed, motivation, communication, team building, critical thinking and essential managing skills for leaders. At the end of the project, you'll walk away with a deeper understanding of your leadership purpose and how to align it with your organization's purposes.
Participants will jointly carry out a program of mixed
activities (info sessions and presentations, debates,
participatory seminars, practical workshops, simulation
exercises, debates, energizers, team building exercises, outdoor
and social engagement activities) that will enhance their skills
and competencies and will allow them to experience a
multicultural simulation of leading youth groups. Youth workers
will be able to develop skills and competencies on
inter-cultural training, including but not limited to: group
dynamics management, team work, deliberation, leadership,
self-awareness, analytical and creative thinking, visioning and
participatory planning, project management and conflict
resolution, monitoring and evaluation. That will contribute to
their personal and socio-educational development and will
potentially improve their employment prospects.
